Transportation

Broomfield is the hub of four major highways and provides the retail businesses with two key interchanges on the Boulder turnpike (US 36). Those interchanges are the U.S.287/Wadsworth interchange and the Interlocken Loop (96th Street). In addition to those interchange intersections, U.S. 287 (120th Avenue) runs through the city providing excellent east/west access. Broomfield also is located at major interchanges with Interstate at the Northwest Parkway, 136th and Colorado Hwy. 7 at the northeast corner of the city. This is where the next major round of retail, commercial and industrial development is taking place.
